The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and AltaMed Health Services (AltaMed) are excited to announce a new partnership focused on leveraging civic engagement to improve health outcomes. By encouraging community health centers and their members to actively participate in civic activities, we aim to foster healthier and more equitable communities.
Voting is a powerful tool for influencing health-related policies but coming together as a community can have an even greater impact. AltaMed, NACHC, and Vot-ER’s efforts will support Community Health Centers to be civic health hubs, engage individuals where they receive vital health services, and encourage civic participation as a modality to improve individual and population health.
By actively engaging in civic activities, we can address these social drivers and create healthier, more equitable communities. Stay tuned for the official announcement of our partnership in January 2025.
