Overview

The 12th Open Enrollment Period for the federal Health Insurance Marketplace—www.healthcare.gov—begins on November 1, 2024.  

As trusted partners, Community Health Centers play a critical role in ensuring people have access to health insurance coverage and care. Health centers employ over 7,000 Outreach and Enrollment staff and and provided nearly 4 million assists.  

Given that over 25 million have been disenrolled in Medicaid since the unwinding began last year, the stakes are high! This webinar will highlight strategies for enrolling and keeping people in your community covered.

Speakers

Speakers will include Jeff Wu and Stefanie Costello, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which is the agency that oversees Healthcare.gov and the Marketplace Navigator Program. Jeff and Stefanie will provide policy updates and resources available to health centers enrolling people into coverage in the federal Marketplace. Additionally, staff from two health centers – one from a Medicaid-expanded state and one from a non-Medicaid expanded state – will present a case study on how they have prepared staff, patients, and communities to enroll people into coverage.
