Overview
The new Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 made Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) & Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) billable providers in Medicare and Medicaid. These additional billable providers provide an excellent opportunity for health centers to expand care teams and further integrate and coordinate mental health with primary care.
