Program Description
NACHC is proud to announce the Nursing Pipelines & Pathways award program, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson. The program, exclusively for NACHC organizational members, will offer 8 awards of $40,000 to support pipelines and pathways for nurses of color at health centers to advance in their careers (e.g., frontline staff to LPN, LPN to RN, RN to BSN, APRN to NP clinical tracks, etc.).
Eligible Organizations:
- Eligible organizations must be a § 330 funded or look-alike health center.
- Eligible organizations must be a NACHC Organization Health Center Member in good standing (dues paid through March 31, 2024).
Who Should Apply?
The pipeline and/or pathway program must meet the following criteria:
- Established relationship or formal partnership with any of the following: AHEC, Accredited School of Nursing, Department of Labor, or Professional Nursing Association (i.e. National Black Nurses Association, National Hispanic Nurses, National AI/AN Nurses Association, or Ethnic Minority Nurse Association).
- Health center is committed to the next generation of nurses by either precepting undergrad or graduate nursing students, staff are either adjunct faculty school of nursing, or mentor nurses of color.
Grant Funders
Funds for this grant award are provided by Johnson & Johnson to promote the advancement of nurses of color in their careers at health centers by establishing pipelines and pathways of support. The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is the administrator of the grant program.
