Join the Regulatory Affairs Team on February 12, 2025, from 4:00 – 5:00 pm ET as we review the recently released HIPAA Security Rule to Strengthen the Cybersecurity of Electronic Protected Health Information.

The proposed rule would revise existing standards for FQHCs to better protect electronic protected health information (ePHI) and increase cybersecurity measures for ePHI. Specifically, the notice of proposed rulemaking intends to address the significant increases in cyberattacks and data breaches, cybersecurity best practices and procedures, changes in the healthcare environment and technology, and court decisions affecting the Security Rule enforcement.

During this office hour, we’ll be partnering with Feldsman Leifer to talk about the proposals outlined in the NPRM, anticipated impacts on FQHC operations, and gather your feedback. NACHC will send out a template comment letter for FQHCs to personalize in advance. Final comments are due March 7, 2025.
