ACU STARR Center – NACHC Workforce Wellness Webinar Series

Webinar Resource

Date and Time: Thursday March 20, and Thursday March 27, 2025 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM ET

Overview

A two-part Workforce Wellness webinar series, in collaboration with STAR2, explore the role creativity plays in advancing employee well-being at health centers. The inclusion of art and other creative endeavors in the workplace can serve as a respite for the ongoing mental health struggles–such as moral distress, moral injury, and compassion fatigue–that remain prevalent among health center staff.

This webinar series will explore the intersection of art and healing as a key aspect of building a resilient, empowered, and engaged workforce and provide firsthand accounts from various health centers that embraced creativity as a key part of their organization’s culture of wellbeing.

Learning Objectives

  • Better understand the complexities of addiction, anxiety, and dementia and its impact on our patients, our loved ones, and ourselves.
  • Appreciate the value that innovative art strategies have in helping foster empathy.
  • Discuss with other healthcare professionals how a piece of collectively experienced art resonates in themselves.
  • Understand the “why” behind using creativity to improve employee wellness.
  • Identify the key role health centers and their leadership play in advancing the wellbeing of staff using creative outlets.
  • Apply principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) to the development of wellness programs centered on art and wellbeing.
