As anyone who has followed the Federal budget process knows, legislation that actually appropriates funds must be passed annually, but can take months to achieve final approval. The documents on this page follow progress of appropriations bills during the most recent session of Congress, and track congressional support for Health Centers' appropriations agenda.

  • February 14, 2008 - Appropriation Sign-on Letters Now Circulating!  Both letters call for a $248 million increase for Health Centers - ask your member to sign on today!  See below for copies of both letters and the up-to-date lists of cosigners.  THANKS once again to our leads on the letters - Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO), Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and Rep. Nathan Deal (D-GA)!

  • February 5, 2008 - President Bush released his budget request for Fiscal Year 2009, calling for a small increase for Health Centers ($27 million) and cuts to other vital public health programs.  Click here to read NACHC's Press Release on the President's Budget.
